Cooking allows you to be in control of what goes in your body. It’s such a positve experience when you know the proper techniques and how to choose good for you food.
If you've always wanted to learn how make easy, quick family meals regardless of your dietary needs, prepare a gourmet meal for a special occasion, or simply hone your knife skills to impress your friends the Well Rooted Kitchen chefs are ready to teach you!

The set up for a typical class:
We'll set up a time to discuss your cooking needs and go over your kitchen equipment.
We design class curriculum based on what you like to learn and your skill level.
We do the shopping, then come to your house about 30 mins before the class to get set up.
We always review kitchen safety.
We'll go over the recipes for the class.
Chop, whisk, blend, blanch, shock, sear your way through amazing foods all prepared by you!
Finally, sit and eat the fruits of your labor!
Cook Like a Pro Packages
"Sous Chef" Package
Class 1 - Basic knife skills/cuts (salads and salsas will be made) to include the use of healthy oils, kitchen safety to be more effective in the kitchen allowing the home chef to prepare meals faster and efficiently thereby saving time and money.
Class 2 - How to use fresh herbs, quick and nutritious side dishes and different types of cooking methods for meats and vegetables to broaden the home chef's palate and repertoire of cooking techniques.
$400* - for up to 2 people: 2 classes (2 hours each) each additonal
"Executive Chef" Package
Class 1 - Basic knife skills/cuts (salads and salsas will be made) kitchen safety to be more effective in the kitchen allowing the home chef to prepare meals faster and efficiently thereby saving time and money.
Class 2 - Grocery store tour which includes a tour of the local grocery store to learn how to shop efficiently, effectively and with the healthiest ingredients. Ingredient substitutions will be mentioned as well and introduction to new fruits and vegetables with alternative cooking methods and uses. To include information on how to purchase and prepare fish and other proteins.
Class 3 - How to use fresh herbs, quick and nutritious side dishes and different types of cooking methods for meats and vegetables to broaden the home chefs palate and repertoire of cooking techniques.
Class 4 - How to plan menus for the week or month, sourcing recipes, prepping and storing.
for up to 2 people: $600* - 4 classes (1 1/2 hours each)
"Be Your Own Personal Chef"
You get to play personal chef for the day!
Learn how to menu plan, shop, cook and package so that you will have easy to eat or reheat meals ready to go in your fridge or freezer for the week or month.
After this class you will:
know where to find recipes & adjust them to your needs,
how to properly store food in fridge and freezer,
what staples to have in your pantry,
how to organize a shopping list to breeze through your food shopping.
Class is approximately 6 hours.
