Well Rooted Kitchen helps people of all abilities make sustainable lifestyle changes, gain independence and improve their mental wellness. Cooking is our vessel. 

Who We Are

 

Well Rooted Kitchen is passionate about empowering people to cultivate and create culinary confidence which will then radiate beyond the kitchen. We help people unlock their culinary skills through private lessons, group classes, speaking engagements, curriculum development, and agency consulting.

 

As Teachers: We believe everyone has an inner chef, regardless of ability or skill level.  Our mission is to instill all students with the tools to confidently cook to the highest level they possibly can, and then some.

As consultants:  we find innovative ways to train your staff and create a curriculum that not only meets, but exceeds expectations by turning obstacles into pivot points.

It’s life skills learned through cooking, where the Kitchen is a tasty classroom. From learning how to chop, discovering what foods can heal,  to teaching social and independent living skills, those roots are planted in the kitchen. 

 

COOKING SHOULDN’T  BE A HARD, BORING OR TEDIOUS TASK

 

Whether you live to eat or eat to live, the bottom line is: you NEED to eat. It’s such an essential part of life, therefore, it shouldn’t be daunting.  Cooking should be a source of excitement, not exasperation! We help you create a culinary toolbox. The ingredients are your magical palette from which you create delicious masterpieces.

We believe everyone can participate in cooking. Even if you think you can’t, we KNOW you can. 

There are no limitations, only adaptations. We creatively work with you to uncover your natural abilities. 

 

FOOD SHOULDN'T JUST BE GOOD FOR YOU, IT SHOULD ALSO TASTE GOOD!

 

We believe food can taste good and be good for you at the same time!  Throw away your fears that healthy food tastes like toasted cardboard. Food is also more than just physical sustenance, it can be nourishment for your soul. There is no reason why you shouldn’t want to learn to how make a cake and actually eat it too!
